What was the highlight of Hotel Doña Nieves Noreña
if you are traveling during the week and you sleep well in the noise, it is a good choice.
The hotel itself is very nice, super clean(!), very comfortable, really nicely equipped with old, but stylish furniture, situated in the centre of a nice little town. The price was uncomparably lower than for the rest of (last minute) available accommdations in Asturias.
Neighbours.... Unfortunately there are one or two houses across from the hotel inhabited by a very loud and quite scary looking and acting people/families, who were out all day and night screaming, slaming doors, listening to loud music... It was Saturday night, party time, the nearby square was full of people... but sleeping in Dona Nieves was like being in a tent outside of a bar. The walls felt like paper. I haven't closed my eyes till 5am....

What was the highlight of Hotel Doña Nieves Noreña
Expensive during summer season
Although the furniture and rooms are old, it is quite a big hotel. The bathrooms are very big and complete. Single beds are better than double beds, even for couples.
There were never people at reception. If you needed something, you could call the hotel across the street, which apparently, belongs to them too. We asked for a double bed and it was really uncomfortable, but we asked to change rooms in the morning and they gave us two single beds, which were really big and comfortable. Breakfast was horrible. We ordered coffee and croissants and the croissants were soggy and not fresh. We only ate breakfast there one morning because of that. To conclude, 63€ per night is overpriced for what it is. Noreña has a few restaurants for breakfast and dinner, so we were happy about that.

What was the highlight of Hotel Doña Nieves Noreña
Great place, great staff, definitely worth another visit.
The hotel is in an excellent location, right in centre of Norena which is halfway between Gijon and Oviedo. From here you can visit both towns easily and quickly and also reach beautiful beaches within 30 minutes. A better location at this kind of price is impossible to imagine
The breakfast was very good, the only minor problem was having to relocate to the main hotel - only 150m away - to have it. This is also where teh key pick up takes places when registering and checking in and out.
